  1. Responsibilities:
  • Providing in-depth experience in PMO functional areas, and provide broad support across multiple areas.
  • Managing the implementation and operations of PMO processes across an array of areas the portfolio, including tracking, monitoring and updating the status of programme deliverables, analysing change, understanding and challenging processes.
  • Constant provision of guidance and support to the PMs – this is to ensure an effectively managed and delivered project.
  • Build enthusiasm around PMO frameworks.
  • Maintain continuous improvement methods required to ensure constant and effective PMO standards and procedures.

 

  1. Desired Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience managing medium to large scale projects, delivering based on milestones and driven by best practices 
  • Previous experience in an organized large scale Project Management Office is preferred 
  • Degree qualified, ideally with Project Management Certification (PMP)
  • Project management expertise including planning, control, execution and estimating (use of MS Project is required) 
  • Excellent communication and team working skills 
  • Ability to operate within a dynamic cultural environment 
  • Knowledge of application of formal project management methodologies (PMI standards) 
  • Ms Office, PowerPoint & Visio familiarization and use required 
  • Experience of project-related ERP systems 
  • Strong, effective communicator (written and interpersonal) in English (preferably in Arabic too) and ability to communicate with diplomacy and tact
